Foundation is dedicated to recovery and hope for the person suffering from an
eating disorder and for their family. Our resources
and support allow families and victims to make
accurate and informed decisions on treatment.

an individual therapist, a family therapist, a dietitian, a medical doctor, a
psychiatrist, and school personnel.
Lifelines
Foundation is dedicated to working for insurance coverage of eating disorder
treatment. We believe that this disease affects not only
mentally but also physically, with complications that can result in death. The stigma surrounding mental illness forces
families to deal with shame and guilt blocking avenues to recovery.
We
believe that families have a right to insurance coverage for eating disorders
with the same parity as any physical illness. Lifelines Foundation supports the
revision to the Texas Mental Health Parity Act..
Lifelines
Foundation is dedicated to creating a referral network for therapists and
physicians specializing in eating disorder treatment. We created the first dietitian referral network resource for eating
disorders in
Lifelines
Foundation believes that early intervention through education is necessary to
help stem the epedimic affecting males and females alike. Through

professional workshops, we are establishing eating disorder educational
awareness programs for K-12 grades, for parents and professionals.
Lifelines
is dedicated to joining with national and state organizations to be the

campaigns that promote "thinness" as the road to success and
happiness, are sending 3000 messages to young people every day.
Lifelines
is dedicated to the establishment of an acute, in-patient, long term
residential treatment facility in
